Our practices are not restricted to a handful of frame suppliers, although we have our favourite designers like Rayban, Tedbaker, Valentino, Versace, Hugo Boss, Georgio Armani, Emporio Armani and Gucci we also supply Face a Face and Silhouette (one of the lightest pair of spectacles available) as well as fashion frames to suit lower spectacle budgets!
Our dispensers ensure they find the correct style of frame to suit facial characteristics of each individual patient and to find the right type of lens to give optimum vision. We also offer an aftercare service, which will endeavour to keep your spectacles in great shape!
A H Mertons ensure that our patients receive the very best and are happy to recommend Essilor, Hoya and Kodak as the market leaders in optical lenses. Transition lenses (which react to changing light conditions) are a good choice whether you wear single vision, bifocals or varifocals. Optical lenses have advanced over the years and can be thinned down and coated to provide an excellent cosmetic appearance whilst still ensuring optimum vision.
Eye examinations and a selection of spectacles are FREE through the NHS for children - or for a little extra cost why not take a look at frames such as Beano, Barbie, Pepsi and Action Man!
